And so I tasted macarons... by Reina-Kitsune And so I tasted macarons... by Reina-Kitsune
Ok, I didn't know this stuff existed till the 14th movie. Later I ordered a Victini plushie and even later than that I found out there is a patisserie in Prague where the original macarons are sold.

I knew I had to go there and have some and I knew I had to bring that plush with me and take a photo of them together . You wouldn't have guessed how hard it was to achieve this goal =__=; Like comming to Prague only to find out that all macarons were took to a food festival and that they have already been sold out...

So finally yesterday with :iconhaily-chan: and :iconberyumbreon: who actually took the photo.

(I heard only praise about macarons so I was really anxious to taste them myself. To be honest, I actually expected something a bit more... outstanding. They tasted good, really, but nothing special to me u_u)

I think the version that Victini liked was Japanese macaron, which has Japanese flavors like green tea and sesame.

Yes =D These little cute figures you can collect. Here some examples: [link] [link] At least two of the ones I have. (Me and my brother we only own fire type Pokémons XD)

But there seem to be lots of different ones. I can't find my beloved Cyndaquil figurine in the web. =(

Try Pokevault.com. That's my most beloved Pokémon shop. They buy rare and limited Pokemon items and sell them there. That's how I got the very first item with Lance, a folder file and a bookmark ^^

Thanks for the link. :) Maybe I should buy a Charmeleon figurine there. (A boy from the kindergarten took it from me one day) And as you see, it's nothing else than fire type either. xD Now I don't know whether to be superstitious or not. ;)

I dunno, it would depend on the price whether I was willing to buy some and try them or not :iconmingtearsplz: Because I'm a cheapskate.

On a new note, Victini is simply arodable imo :iconloveloveplz: That movie moment where he used V-Create I was all :iconhandspazzplz: + :icongyaaplz:

Well, it's hard to describe. They are very crisp and satiate you quickly. And sweet of course. There is a cream of a certain flavor inside - they are usually colored to match that flavor. I really liked the lemon one and later I also tasted a lavender one. That one was good, too. But as I said - I really expected something more outstanding. Something I could love with all my heart :D

Yup, correct :D It's the cutest Victini plush I've ever seen so I had to get one. Here, however, half of the cuteness is hidden because of the angle.

Wait... so you're saying that "Macaron" is just a pun on "Macaroon"? :omg:

I meant that "Macaron" is not a pun on "Macaroon", but I'm surprised you've never even heard of Macaroons, because I always thought they were a pretty common type of cookie [link]

However, I DO live in the US. I also noticed while looking for that image that many images of "Macarons" (rainbow-colored, layered) showed up as well, so it may just be a different spelling/pronunciation for the same thing! :XD:

macaroons are cookies made with eggwhite, ground almond and sugar.
immagine an expremely light moist brownie with a crunchy crust.
then those are put together with filling in the middle like an oreo cookie.

they're delicious but a pain to make, hence the extreme prices for them ;)

hahaha they are available more and more around the world, perhaps your local bakery has them aswell.
i thought that they where mostly available in france but i know that in england and holland they are also available.

and im absolutely possitive that the usa has to have them, but probably not in the grocery stores.
just check out some fancy shops, but be aware of the price so you wont fall over backwards (theyre about 1,50 euros each over here in holland.)
